Why I Started Hack My Garage
My name is Roy Cohen. When corona hit, I was left without much to do. With so much time to kill, I decided to start Hack My Garage.
I was never fairly handy or knew much of anything about home improvement, heating/cooling systems, concrete, or anything of that nature.
I could barely tell a screwdriver from a hammer! I figured that I would be able to use my research skills and quest for knowledge to learn everything I could about garages.
I wanted to document my journey and help everyone who was in the same boat I was. I found that a lot of the information on the web wasn’t just untrue, it was dangerous.
I spend hours researching every blog post to ensure that I get the facts right.
Now, with years of research and discussions with garage experts, I’ve now become quite the expert myself!
I’ve learned the ins and outs of concrete, cooling, heating and even garage repairs, all within a matter of a year. And guess what? I’m passing my knowledge directly to my readers!
With a little know how, you can fix all of your garage related problems. And with my expertise, I’m able to provide you with the BEST products that are available on the market.
My favorite “part” of the garage is flooring, as there are many different types that you can choose from. While it may be expensive, I recommend getting a polyurea coatingif you can afford it.
I also work as Editor in Chief on a popular HVAC website, coldhotair.com.
What Makes Hack My Garage Different
I would rather that my readers be informed even if it means that it harms my bottom line. I’m not interested in squeezing every dollar out of my audience to fill my pockets. I want to help people find the truth when it’s so difficult to do so.
For every product review or how-to article on this site, hours and hours of research are spent finding out the truth. Most of the information I’ve found on most other sites is misinformed and directs people to purchase products that will give out on them in a year’s time. I go the extra mile so you don’t have to.
When I don’t know what
Honesty is my #1 policy in life and I want that to reflect in any part of life I take part in. Especially Hack My Garage!
I promise to always and forever keep this site honest. I go to immense lengths to find out what the best solution is for each project or product. I don’t want people to purchase an item or do a project and realize that halfway through they’ve made a mistake.
I’ve been a victim of that before. And with the internet being so hard to trust these days, I aim to make trust and honesty my #1 priority.
I hope you find what you need on Hack My Garage and if you have any questions, my inbox is always open!
