Best Garage Deoderizor

MOOKA Air Purifier

  • Coverage: up to 430sq.ft

With enough coverage to deodorize a two-car garage, this air-purifier is what you need if you want to get rid of that musky garage smell for good.

What I like

You’ll be able to deodorize your garage with no problem with the 3 air changes per hour. You won’t have to worry about the air in your garage getting stale, even if you have no windows!

This garage deodorizer utilizes an H13 true HEPA filter which will capture allergens, pet hair, dander, smoke, mold and large dust particles. With it removing 99.97% of airborne containments, you won’t need to worry about garage stink any longer.

If you like peace and quiet like me, you’ll love the brushless motor which creates for a quiet experience. It also has a child lock if your children are always running around and causing a ruckus.

It comes with 4 timer settings, 4 fan modes and a nightlight if you’re in the garage at night and need to have a look around. If your garage gets extra smelly, you can leave the timer on the 1-hour setting so it’ll work around the clock to create the perfect garage environment.

Each filter can be used for up to 6 months depending on your usage. All you need to do is set it and forget it, and you’ll be able to enjoy working on your DIY projects in no time!

What I don’t like

Replacement filters can be hard to find, but I found them here for a great price.

Verdict

You don’t have to live with a stinky garage with this deodorizer by your side. It’s compact enough so it won’t be in the way and the filter lasts for a few months at a time.

Cons
  • Can be hard to find replacement filters at times

LEVOIT Air Purifier for Home Bedroom

  • Coverage: up to 161sq.ft

This non-invasive air purifier will get rid of smoke, pet danders, odors, and any other smells you want out of your garage.

What I like

My favorite part about this air purifier is that you can stay in your garage while it’s working. Other garage deodorizers like ozone generators can create a harmful environment if not used properly and they aren’t proven to be effective either.

This air purifier utilizes an H13 True HEPA filter to capture at least 99.97% of airborne particles at the molecular level. It purifies your garage while you’re working so you can enjoy fresh, clean air without the musk of a dirty garage.

You can utilize the aromatherapy option as well, giving you the flexibility to add 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oils to further clean up the air in your garage. If you use cedar oil, it can even have added benefits of preventing moths from infesting your garage.

It takes around 30 mins for it to start working effectively. In the meantime, you won’t even notice it working as it’s super quiet. The one-button control makes it easy as heck to use, and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!

What I don’t like

Some purchasers mentioned that replacement filters were hard to get a hold of.

Verdict

I think if you’re willing to buy the filter directly from the manufacturer, this is an affordable garage deodorizer that will keep your garage smelling fresh at all hours of the day.

Pros
  • Filters the air non-invasively
  • Can use essentail oils
Cons
  • Not big enough for a two car garage

Best Budget Deodorizer for Garage

Charcoal Air Purifying Bags

  • Coverage: up to 100sq.ft per bag

This non-electric option utilizes bamboo as a natural way of cleaning up the stench in your garage.

What I like

I like that you don’t need to power these charcoal bags and giving you the flexibility of where to store them. You can choose to stuff them all in one side of your garage where there is the most smell or in all four corners. It’s up to you to decide!

You won’t need to worry about them adding any harmful chemicals into your environment either. Your lungs will stay fresh as these natural bamboo bags continue to work around the clock.

Each bag is filled with bamboo charcoal which is 4 times better than regular charcoal at removing scents. The great part about these bags is that they don’t just mask the smells, they remove them completely from your garage.

A cool feature is that you can put these bags under sunlight for an hour each month, “recharging” them so you can continue using them. The bags are 100% organic as well so you can keep up with the environment.

What I don’t like

These bags only last two years. If you spend a bit more, you can get an electronic device that will last longer if you take care of it.

Verdict

These bamboo bags are a natural way to remove odors from a smelly garage. If you like the eco-friendly aspect of this product, you’ll for sure enjoy its flexibility as well.

Pros
  • All natural solution
  • Each bag covers 100 sqft
Cons
  • Stops working after 2 years

Final Thoughts

If your garage really stinks, then you may have a humidity problem as well. The best garage dehumidifier is a great solution to get the damp smell out of your garage.

It’s also a good idea to keep your garage clean, otherwise, you’ll never be able to get the stink out.
